How Student Loan Application and Repayment Processes Work
Student loans are a common option when deciding how to finance any career college programs that you’re thinking about enrolling in. Student loans are obtained from the provincial or federal government and are repayable upon completion of the program. For the duration of your studies, your provincial and federal student loans will be interest-free; interest doesn’t start accruing until six months after graduation.

Details on Government Grants for Career College Students
Grants from the government are awarded to students who demonstrate financial need. Grants differ from loans in that they don’t require repayment. Many factors affect the eligibility of students to receive grants, including their previous year’s income, their province of residence, and whether they are studying full-time or part-time at their career college.
Government grants for AOLCC may come from Alberta or the federal government or both. Because they don’t require repayment, there are also no associated interest fees on them. Grants are sometimes harder to obtain as they are reserved for individuals with greater financial need, who may not have the means to pay back loans. At AOLCC, no matter your program of choice, your personal finances, or your student status, we are dedicated to helping you find the right solution to fund your studies. With our Admissions team on your side, you will find the best possible financial aid options and finish your program ready to dive into your career.
