This course prepares the student to inspect the performance of the following components of electrical systems within residential buildings: service drops, grounding systems, service panels, wiring systems, devices and fixtures. It focuses on inspecting and reporting on the following electrical aspects of a residential dwelling: service drop, service entrance and service size; service box, grounding and panels; the distribution system. The student learns to apply knowledge of electrical concepts to inspections that focus on safety.
