Course Introduction

The Network+ designation is offered by CompTIA as a certification of the holder’s proficiency in configuring and operating a variety of industry-standard network products. Earning the Network+ certification means that successful candidates possess the knowledge and skills to operate as a networking professional and to install, configure and manage a variety of networking products.

Upon completion of this course, students gain knowledge and skills necessary to troubleshoot, configure, and manage common network wireless and wired devices, establish basic network design and connectivity, understand and maintain network documentation, identify network limitations and weaknesses, and implement network security, standards, and protocols. Students will have a basic understanding of emerging technologies including unified communications, mobile, cloud, and virtualization technologies.

Course Prerequisites

CompTIA A+ Certification or equivalent knowledge, experience in IT networking recommended.

Course Notes

A student textbook is provided for on-going reference. The course consists of 15 graded-end of module quizzes and a final exam. Participants who receive 75% or higher on their exam will receive a certificate.

Hands-on practice labs are included in this course. By completing these labs students will gain practical aspects of the CompTIA Network+ (N10-007) exam objectives.
