New Program: Study Software and Web Development with AOLCC

Now is a great time to get started in Academy of Learning Career College’s exciting new Software and Web Developer Diploma! In only 38 weeks students can graduate with the relevant skills needed to thrive in the in-demand IT field. 

This diploma program is designed to give students the most relevant information needed for their careers. Students will explore a variety of coding languages and be given opportunities to strengthen their skills and gain hands-on experience through their projects and coursework.

Graduates of the program will be able to:

• Design the appearance and layout of websites
• Develop cross-browser and cross-platform websites
• Create and optimize content for websites using graphics, databases, animations, and other software
• Translate wireframes and storyboards into functional, responsive websites
• Work with MySQL databases and SQL scripting
• Use the .NET Framework to create robust web applications

As the number of big tech companies expanding into Canada grows, the demand for software and web developers increases with it. Additionally, the Government of Alberta’s “Alberta 2030: Building Skills for Jobs” initiative includes both growth projections and investment in the IT industry.
